Tennis in the Face (Nintendo Switch) Indie One Shot
The latest from 10tons LTD brings us a wacky and fun physics based puzzle game. You take on the role of Pete Pagassi, a big tennis star who becomes enraged at the presence of the evil mega-corporation, Explodz. Explodz is a soft-drink company that is making everyone addicted, and Pagassi wants to stop them. He quits tennis, goes mad, and sets out an a rag-doll physics adventure of mayhem, killing clowns, cops and Explodz factory workers : anyone who gets in his way.
Tennis in the Face gives you over a hundred levels including main quest ones as well as extra bonus levels you can unlock. In each one, what you need to do is simple : use your amazing tennis serve to whack and kill everyone on the screen. You can hit people directly on, or use the walls and barriers to create angled shots, hitting anybody who might be hiding in cover.
A lot of different objects will be introduced to you. You start with just tennis balls for ammo at first, which are on a limit that varies from level to level. Eventually you'll also gain cans of Explodz that you can lob into the level and after a few seconds they...well...explode. There's also sheets of glass that can be broken with a single hit, dropping whatever heavy or explosive object they may be holding.
While the main goal of each level is to just kill everyone, you can also earn a crown for each level by eliminating everyone using fewer tennis balls/Explodz cans. After finishing each level, a screen will pop up revealing how many remaining shots you need to earn the crown, and you can replay the levels as many times as it takes.
Once you start playing Tennis in the Face you really won't want to stop. My only complaint about this game is that that it's such a simple concept that there isn't a way to talk more about it without writing in circles. This game is only $4.99 in the Nintendo eShop, but it's available on all other platforms as well, giving you absolutely no reason not to play this game. I've managed to play this from a full battery to 1% on my Switch, and still can't get enough.
